Service and value, guaranteed.
To begin, thank you for your time! I am hoping we will be working together shortly but in the meantime, here is a brief history to help you begin to get to know me better. If you don’t find what you are looking for here, just ask, I’m an open book.
Born and raised in New Westminster, I have a strong athletic background and a love of baseball. My father is a very accomplished umpire and Yankee’s fan, my mother is an actress and budding director and they are both retired nurses. I originally went to school for fine arts and graduated Douglas College theatre program with honors then was accepted to UBC but decided to try film instead. In a strange twist of events, I ended up moving to Fort Worth Texas followed by Denver Colorado where I lived for almost 3 years opening new Keg Steakhouse and Bar restaurants. I then sold almost all I owned and moved to Thailand where I lived for 2 years teaching, writing my own column for a magazine and traveling India, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia. I still consider parts of South East Asia home and visit as often as I can.
From there, I moved to Whistler BC as it has always held magic for me and worked on my writing skills while learning snowboarding, a sport best learned when young and still made of rubber. I then moved back to East Van where I had spent my early 20’s and fell in love with the character homes of the Commercial Drive area, not to mention the mansions of Point Grey and everything else in between. I was beginning to see that I had a passion for finding accommodation and loved doing this for friends and family. Not to mention that seeing inside people’s homes was fascinating! With a history of sales under my belt, an actors ability to adapt to any situation and a buddhists patience (I became an ordained nun for a stint in Thailand) I decided that real estate was for me.
Rookie of the year in my first year, I have continued to be in the top 20% of agents in my office and strive to continue being in the top 10% of agents in the lower mainland as I have been for several years running. I love what I do and when I am not selling real estate I do animal foster work as well as live to cook for family and friends. I have a special person in my life named Steve and we enjoy swimming in the ocean and travelling together. We live in East Van in an ocean view home where he plays guitar and I tend to my herb garden.
Again, I love what I do and I am more than happy to help with whatever you need, please feel free to call, email or text at any time. All the best, Shanon.
